Mitchell is doing really well with his implant. He has been going to speech therapy every Tuesday evening. His speech therapist Brooke is amazed how how well he is doing. she give homework every week Mitchell gripes a bit about it but does well when we work together on what we need to do.
We went to see the audiologist last Friday and he had is first booth teat since he has had the implant. He did really well. In the booth he has to listen for the beep then raise his had when he hears it. another test in the booth is a computer voice read a sentence and he repeats back what heard. He got an 89% on this test. His audiologist Stacy said she was very impressed he did so well, so she decide to give him a challenge she add some background noise then had the sentence read again. This time Mitchell scored 53%. Stacy said that is what most score on the first sentence test their first time in the booth so she was impressed with Mitchell's progress so far.
Told me to challenge him by giving telling him to put his shoes way when there was noise in the background like TV or brother and sister making noise.
